The True Sub-Specialist Difference
We don’t just say ‘sub-specialist’, we mean it! For us, it all boils down to ‘unparalleled quality’.
TMC’s True Sub-Specialist Reporting means cases are always allocated to the most skilled and experienced radiologists, based not just on body areas and modalities, but also on special knowledge and ‘super sub-specialties.
This is all made possible thanks to TMC’s market-leading proprietary technology and our senior Medical Management Team, who are all grouped into sub-specialist sections and expert groups.
Knowledge sharing and peer review within the teams, continuously improves our radiologists performance to the benefit our clients and their patients.

A True Reporting Partner
TMC has been reporting for the NHS since 2004, and we pride ourselves on becoming an integral partner with each hospital Trust we work with.
Unlike many competitors, TMC believe a complete teleradiology service includes easy access to radiologists for phone consultations with hospital staff.
That’s why we run a dedicated ‘contact desk’ during business hours, where sub-specialist radiologists (one from each of the sub-specialist disciplines) take calls from referring physicians and local radiologists to review and discuss cases and reports in ‘real-time’.
TMC can also lead or participate in MDT meetings via live video conferencing where required.

In keeping with the NHS goals of early, prompt, and accurate diagnosis, TMC Oncology Reporting is a crucial spoke in the cancer treatment wheel.
Our team of dedicated sub-specialist radiologists quickly deliver the most accurate and detailed oncology reports enabling patients to access fast treatment and achieve optimum outcomes.
Exceeding RCR Peer Review Requirements
TMC not only meets but exceeds the Royal College of Radiologists peer review recommendations and guidelines.,
Using custom built radiology management software, TMC prospectively peer-reviews 5% of all cases. This means cases are peer reviewed within the turnaround time, before being authorised for release.
In contrast, most departments and teleradiology providers only undertake retrospective peer-review (review after the finalised report).
Additionally, all TMC radiologists are subject to 100% prospective peer-review for at least their first 200 cases, making TMC radiologists the most peer-reviewed in the industry.
Optemis, our proprietary Radiology Reporting Management System, TMC Optemis gives two-way feedback between the first and second readers, allowing a culture of on-going feedback, learning from mistakes and continuing radiologist education. With the help of our radiology platform Optemis we make sure that we fully live up to the standards of the RCR documents Lifelong learning and building teams using peer feedback and Standards for radiology events and learning meetings.
Independently Audited
In addition to our unparalleled prospective peer-review program, TMC also employs independent, external auditors.
Senior, experienced radiologists participate in an extensive, random audit process annually, to ensure TMC radiologists and reports are of the highest quality achievable.
