Last month, world renowned radiologist Dr. Donald Resnick, Professor of Radiology and Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of San Diego flew in to Barcelona from the United States. He led an all star cast of leading specialists sharing their knowledge with an audience of radiologists who have a special interest in musculoskeletal radiology. The course was aimed at optimising MRI reporting skills for sports related injuries and degenerative diseases of joints and soft tissues.
And building on that, Dr. Michael Torkzad, Associate Professor at University College London led the Advanced Clinical Abdominal MRI course aimed at radiologists with a special interest in genitourinary, gastrointestinal or oncological sub-specialisations. This course had a unique emphasis on the abdomen as a whole entity and offered ideas to improve patient care, while examining the role of MRI in solving clinical questions.
After delivering the course, Michael said: “I was really pleased to be a part of this programme. It’s a strong and efficient format offering some unique insights and it was great to see so many engaged participants. The informal feedback at the event was really positive. These courses are a great way for radiologists to expand knowledge and to challenge existing thinking. It’s also a great way to build CME credits. Getting lecturers of this calibre to share their deep specialist experience was really important and we’re grateful that they were able to share their knowledge with our course participants”.
