TMC exceeds expectations for the annual ISO audit and receives the ISO 9001:2008 certification
February 18, 2009 – Det Norske Veritas (DNV) today granted TMC the ISO 9001:2008 certification after conducting a full audit on the company´s operations. While it was TMC’s initial aim to be recertified for its ISO 9001:2001, DNV auditors proposed to audit the company for the 2008 certification in view of the fact that the company had demonstrated compliance with the latest regulations. The ISO 9001:2008 sets even higher standards in all facets of a business and particularly quality management in IT that enforces a maintenance plan for equipment and a management plan for external providers. TMC passed total conformity in IT as well as in other aspects of the business including HR, Medical, Operations and Marketing. The company’s quality manual was accepted with a few minor modifications to regulate new and complex processes in a growing organization. “We are not only just meeting expectations but we are exceeding them,” said Rossana Alessandrello, Head of IT. “Auditors clearly stated that audits are becoming more rigorous and demanding each year particularly when a company grows with new processes in place. The auditors were satisfied with our progress and indicated that in fact our quality standards were higher than the average in Spain.” TMC aims to uphold its position as a high quality teleradiology provider, continually working to improve its processes and train employees on quality management.
