“When planning a fellowship, there are often two important concerns: is the experienced radiologist a good teacher and/or will the fellow find personal contact with his teacher? By the end of the first day at TMC, I was convinced that the answer to both questions was, yes”

Training
|
| DISTANCE LEARNING |
| We use the over-reading method to train local radiologists, juniors and residents in sub-specialist modalities. This is a cost-effective way of providing professional development opportunities for our client hospitals’ onsite staff. When performing over-reading, a local radiologist will perform the first reading while a TMC sub-specialist radiologist will perform the second reading. The local radiologists receive continuous and valuable feedback on their reports, which is an important aspect of the learning process. Our RIS technology facilitates an efficient communication between the first and second readers, which is useful for competence building and quality assurance. |
| INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES |
| We provide practical training at the TMC centre for radiologists who wish to train in a specific sub-specialist area such as abdominal MRI. With supervision, radiologists will take on high-volume training. They will receive continuous feedback and support from senior radiologists who are experts in the respective sub-specialist modalities. |
| COURSES |
We offer courses for radiographers, radiologists and nuclear medicine specialists held at the TMC centre. Some of our courses are pre-arranged, however, we also tailor courses to the specific demands of our client hospitals. |
| TESTIMONIALS |
| “It has been a real pleasure to spend a month devoted to musculoskeletal MRI at TMC. When planning a fellowship there are often two important concerns: is the experienced radiologist a good teacher and/or will the fellow find personal contact with his teacher? By the end of the first day in TMC I was convinced that the answer to both questions was yes. And then the fellow needs a sufficient amount of different cases to practice the theoretical knowledge acquired. TMC proved to be a perfect place for that. I could see a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal MRI starting from the most common shoulder injuries to a couple of relatively rare knee problems. And last but not least: every person needs entertainment and rest after work and during weekends. For this, there is Barcelona and its surroundings where almost everybody can find something for any interest or hobby.” Peeter Raudvere. Mammograaf Radioloogiakliinik, Tallinn, Estonia “Briefly summarizing my 5 weeks at TMC, I would say that I found good leadership, pleasant physical facilities, nice and devoted colleagues, interesting educational opportunities with varied radiological cases, and good training and support from experienced radiologists. All in all, my training experience at TMC increased my motivation as a radiologist!" Tove Steinsvik, Nordlandssykehuset, Norway |
