IT & Workflow

IT and workflow

The way we have managed production and service delivery internally has helped us achieve the quality and speed that we promise to our clients. It is all about an efficient workflow system, strong IT knowledge and the precise expertise needed at each stage of the production and delivery process.

We are flexible in our approach when integrating workflow and IT solutions at our client hospitals, adapting to the local standards and processes of each radiology department. A team of selected TMC experts relevant to your needs will set up an initial workshop at your hospital to determine a most suitable workflow and volume-planning routines. At the same time, our IT experts will speak to your IT experts to determine the most effective path and resources for IT integration.

At TMC, we work closely with your team to carefully define the processes and protocols needed for successful implementation.

WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT
At TMC, teleradiology is much more than the electronic transmission of radiographic images through the latest technologies. It is the efficient and timely delivery of accurate radiographic images and reports, critical for faster and more effective patient treatment.

A pulsating Operations department is at the core of all our activities, which makes us rather unique in the market. Within the department, we have specialist teams that deal with every aspect of the production and delivery process, from client implementation to order entry, case assignments, communications coordination, quality control and distribution. We have looked into every component and every complexity found in radiology service delivery to develop a first class Operations department.

We have unparalleled experience in adapting workflow processes to various client hospital needs. Through tight collaboration with local radiology departments, we determine agreed processes and protocols for the transfer of images, reporting prioritization, reporting styles, interaction with referring clinicians and patient safeguards.

IT MANAGEMENT
We have a strong team that manages our IT platform within a state-of-the-art digital environment. Our aim is to leverage the latest technological advances to deliver greater efficiency, security and speed.

We have unrivalled experience in managing IT integrations for our client hospitals. Over the years, we have handled a large number of client implementations with various PACS, RIS and network conditions. Thus we have the knowledge and capabilities to tailor an IT solution that would fit your local conditions. For hospitals that are using teleradiology for the first time, we offer to take on an active role to guide your IT professionals through the implementations process.

Our IT team will contact your IT team from the start of our collaboration to establish the most effective solution for the efficient and secure transfer of medical imaging and patient data.

IT PLATFORM

We use state-of-the-art PACS, RIS and network solutions to ensure data protection and timely delivery of reports. Images and patient data are transferred and exchanged via secure and encrypted network connections (IP SEC). TMC is today connected to the national healthcare networks in the UK, Sweden and Denmark.

Our IT platform consists of:

  • PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System), which handles transfer, viewing and storage of digital radiology images
  • RIS (Radiology Information System), which handles transfer of non-image patient data to radiologists who produce reports in the system, to manage scheduling and assignment of cases and to control quality
  • Secure, stable and high capacity network connections, which enables the efficient transfer of digital images and non-image patient data to our radiologists and our clients
  • Reporting stations that consists of 3 high quality monitors – one monitor for reading patient data and reporting and 2 monitors for displaying images
